MEDIA ALERT: American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter Responds to Explosion in San Bruno

SAN FRANCISCO – September 10, 2019 – The American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter is on the scene providing assistance to the hundreds of residents affected by the explosion in San Bruno this evening. Red Cross teams are supporting an evacuation center and two shelters in San Bruno this evening.

One shelter is located at the Veterans Memorial Recreation Center in San Bruno. The second shelter is open adjacent to the Veterans Memorial Center at the senior center.  The Red Cross will be providing food, shelter and crisis counseling services for affected families.

The evacuation center is located at Bayhill Shopping Center in San Bruno.
