NPRC: Members work with the Preparedness, Youth Services and Events departments to design, coordinate and implement disaster education activities. They target vulnerable populations directly and through partnerships with neighborhoods, community groups, businesses, agencies and schools, helping them prevent, prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters and emergencies.

There are nine Americorps NPRC members working with ARCBA for the 2007-2008 Fiscal Year.

VISTA: The AmeriCorps VISTA member project activities are directed to increasing the capacity of local community partnerships to address the disaster and emergency preparedness and response needs of low-income and underserved parts of their community. Members will build on prior service over the three year course of this project with the goal of extending capacity deeper and wider.

Ten Americorps VISTA members will be part of the ARCBA team for 2007-2008.
