The American Red Cross Bay Area provides International Services courses and presentations for the public.

Exploring Humanitarian Law (EHL) is a curriculum with educational modules for young people. The aim of the program is to expose learners (ages 13-18 and up) to issues of humanitarian law and principles of respect for life and human dignity. This curriculum is being implemented world wide. The EHL program aims to provide educators with learning materials and strategies that may reinforce and enrich existing educational programs. The materials are built on historical and contemporary situations. EHL meets national education standards for social studies in the U.S.

EHL was produced by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in association with Education Development Center, Inc., and in collaboration with the American Red Cross and other partner members of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The American Red Cross Bay Area is one of 45 chapters nationwide that is field testing this exciting new curriculum.
