AWARD CATEGORIES

This event will recognize six residents of Alameda County who have shown an extreme act of courage or given back to the community through an extraordinary act of kindness. A Heroes Advisory Committee of civic leaders will review all nominations and select award winners. Awards will be presented in the following categories:

  1. Life Saving: Someone who has performed an extraordinary life saving act
  2. Courageous Act: Someone who has performed an extraordinary act of courage
  3. Act of Kindness: Someone who has shown an extreme act of kindness or selflessness in a time of need
  4. Community Service (Individual): An individual who has performed a great community service
  5. Community Service (Organization): A business or organization that has performed a great community service
  6. Animal Rescue or Aid: An animal that has protected a human in a time of need or a person who has rescued an animal from a traumatic situation
