In a disaster, everyone in the community plays a role and has a responsibility to take care of their own families and to help others most in need. Each person also plays a role in ensuring their community is prepared before disaster hits.
The American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter offers a variety of courses designed to teach valuable disaster preparedness skills to community groups. Make sure everyone in your neighborhood or apartment complex, church or other community group is personally prepared for disaster by bringing Red Cross training to your next meeting.
The Red Cross also offers disaster preparedness programs for communities with special needs in the Bay Area. These programs target people in our community who may have special needs due to language, culture or mobility challenges.
