Following are other services available to military families through the American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter and our partners.

Health and Welfare Inquiries
Let the Red Cross provide you peace of mind. Through our worldwide communications network the Red Cross can connect with an installation, ship or operation to inquire about the welfare of a loved one on active military duty. Service members can also use this Red Cross service to inquire about the welfare of their families back home. For more information, please contact us at 1-888-4-HELP-BAY or email address.

Pre-Deployment Seminars
It is vital for military members and their dependents to understand what services the Red Cross provides before an emergency strikes. Red Cross attends pre-deployment briefings and other unit family gatherings to answer questions and deliver information about Red Cross services available to military families. Emergency Financial Assistance
Based on individual circumstances, a military aid society (Air Force Aid Society, Navy-Marine Corps Aid Society, Coast Guard Mutual Assistance and Army Emergency Relief) will provide help with emergency expenses such as funeral and burial services and other expenses. The Red Cross helps military members process the paperwork to apply for this assistance. The individual military aid society determines who receives assistance. Project Video Connect
Families can send two-minute video messages over the Internet to their loved ones stationed abroad through the chapter’s Project Video Connect program. Family members may schedule a session to create their message by calling phone or email. To use this service, you will need your service member’s email address.
