Red Cross Clubs
You can start your own Red Cross Club in your elementary, middle or high school or at your college or university. Red Cross Clubs help youth serve their communities by supporting the work of the Red Cross. The first step to get the club rolling is to obtain permission from your school, and then take a look at our toolkit, which will outline everything you need to know about starting your own club. Once you have a core group of interested students, the support from your Red Cross chapter and a teacher or guidance counselor willing to serve as club sponsor, you’re set to go!

Youth for Chinese Elderly
The Youth for Chinese Elderly (YCE) program connects bilingual youth with members of the Chinese community to help them get prepared for an emergency or a disaster. With YCE clubs in eight San Francisco high schools, the program allows youth volunteers to give back to the their community by becoming skilled lifesaving skills instructors and provide disaster preparedness education at community health fairs and at senior homes in Chinatown.

For more information about the Youth for Chinese Elderly program, please contact (415) 427-8070 or yeed@usa.redcross.org.

Youth Engaged in Service
Youth Engaged in Service (YES) teams consist of students from Alameda City and San Mateo County working together to support the Red Cross. YES teams hold fundraisers to benefit Red Cross programs, give preparedness presentations, run preparedness fairs and participate in other fun and exciting projects.
