The American Red Cross Bay Area responds to over 600 disasters per year which may impact one, hundreds, or even thousands of people in our six-county area.

Red Cross disaster relief focuses on meeting the emergency, disaster-caused needs of individuals and families. Assistance may include a safe, dry place to sleep, warm meals, health and mental health services, referrals to other locally available assistance, and help with recovery planning. We may also feed emergency workers, handle inquiries from concerned immediate family members, or provide blood and blood products to disaster victims. All assistance is based on verified, disaster-caused needs and all assistance is free—a gift made possible by generous donations from people like you.

Are you a disaster victim in need of assistance? If you are reporting a new disaster, please call (866) 272-2237.
