The American Red Cross Bay Area, Silicon Valley and Santa Cruz Chapters joined forces to prepare local Latinos to combat the flu and other emergencies. These chapters were able to come together thanks to a generous grant from the University of California, Berkeley.
This summer, all three chapters have been educating thousands at community events hosted by partners including La Clinica de la Raza, Canal Alliance, Small Schools Initiative of Oakland, the Unity Council of Oakland, Half Moon Bay Resource Center, Mission Neighbor Center, Mujeres Unidad, Activas and many more.
We would like to extend a special thank you to all of our Spanish-speaking volunteers from all three chapters for their efforts in reaching these communities with lifesaving information.
