On Saturday, January 30, the Girl Scouts of Northern California attended a “Be Prepared – First Aid for Girls” class. The class was developed by the American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter and was held at the San Francisco, Oakland, Concord and Marin County offices simultaneously.
During the training, the Girl Scouts were taught about the importance of being prepared for an emergency or disaster. They also learned about basic first aid and were provided the materials to practice first aid skills with their peers during the class. Approximately 160 girls and dozens of parents were trained by Red Cross volunteers. Thank you to everyone who helped to make this event a success!
