Free Healthy Families Fair on June 6 Helps Bay Area Families Stay Safe and Healthy Through Fun and Plan

The American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter, in partnership with The Clorox Company, offers free interactive classes and activities at Healthy Families Fair on Saturday, June 6 at the Oakland Museum of California.  

WHAT: Spend the day playing outdoors together as a family, while learning important information on how to keep the entire family healthy and safe this summer and throughout the year.
  • Stop in for free 20-minute classes on water safety, basic first aid, pet first aid and earthquake preparedness – complete with interactive activities for kids that will make learning fun for the entire family.  Classes available in English, Spanish and Cantonese.
  • Hop into “The Big Shaker” (an earthquake simulator) and see what an 8.o earthquake feels like.
  • Get the whole family moving with live demonstrations from SF Music Together and Soja Martial Arts.
  • Play with reptiles and amphibians and do hands-on science and art projects to explore nature with Tree Frog Treks.
  • Relax and enjoy a free massage from experts at McKinnon Institute of Massage.
  • Enter to win prizes, including a $150 gift certificate to Whole Foods Market, $50 gift certificates to Sports Basement and much more.
The first 100 attendees will receive a FREE solar-powered Eton radio with a flashlight and cell phone charger.
