Thanks to thousands of supporters, the American Red Cross won 26 percent of the votes in Target’s Bullseye Gives Facebook campaign.
More than 75,000 votes were cast for the Red Cross, which earned the humanitarian organization a share of $793,942. Nine other non-profits competed for a piece of Target’s $3 million donation.
The Red Cross will use this donation to change lives around the country and around the world. With the support of the American public, every day victims of disasters get crucial help in their time of need, military members and their families are connected during a personal crisis, children are vaccinated against deadly diseases, patients receive life-saving blood transfusions—and much more.

About the American Red Cross:
The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and counsels victims of disasters; provides nearly half of the nation's blood supply; teaches lifesaving skills; and supports military members and their families. The Red Cross is a charitable organization — not a government agency — and depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its humanitarian mission.
