Locating Service Members

Resources

Armed Forces Emergency Services (AFES) are available to all members of the armed services and their families. Both active duty and community-based military can count on us to provide emergency communications, emergency financial assistance, counseling, veterans assistance, and aid in the field. In the Bay Area communities of San Francisco, Marin, Solano, Contra Costa, Alameda and San Mateo counties call (800) 660-4272, seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

We also provide briefings to military personnel about the services available through the Red Cross. To schedule a briefing contact (707) 423-3737.

For other questions, please view our FAQ on our national website.

A Power Point presentation for kids about AFES is also available. [PPT, 431K]

If you do not have contact with a current or former service member, this option may provide you with a means to locate them.
